When it comes to tropical fruit, mangoes are king. Whether it’s the sweet, distinctive flavor, soft (when ripe) pulp texture or the colorful exterior that’s a blend of crimson, orange and gold, mangoes are a favorite throughout the Caribbean and most especially on the island of Nevis. So much so that Nevis holds an annual Mango and Food Festival in celebration of our delectable, marvelous mango.
The Nevis Mango and Food Festival has a spectacular roster of events that will take guests throughout the island and also will feature dinners and cooking demonstrations by two celebrity chefs. This year, Iron Chef Judy Joo and Celebrity Chef Seamus Mullen join us.
Judy Joo is a Korean-American executive chef, Restaurateur, and TV Chef traveling between her restaurants Jinjuu in London & Hong Kong . Judy also appears on the Cooking Channel with her show “Korean Food Made Simple” as she explores Korean Authentic dishes inspired by her travels showing just how easy it is to make Korean favorites with a few Korean store cupboard ingredients. Her love of Korean food began as a child at home in the U.S.
