Deposit
A three night deposit is required to secure all reservations. The deposit
is applied to the first and last nights of the confirmed reservation.
Deposits may be made by check, money order or by American Express, Visa
or MasterCard.
Cancellations
30 days in Winter: Dec 15 to Apr 15
60 days for bookings over Christmas and New Year period
14 days in Summer: Apr 16 to Dec 14
General Information
Concierge Service:
Is offered by resident owners and staff offering sightseeing,
reconfirmations, rental cars, excursions and most of your holiday needs.
Check Out Time:
12:00 noon. Complementary facilities (when available) for late
departures.
Children:
Families are welcome. Children under twelve are free if shared
with two adults (there may be a charge if an extra bed is required). Early
dinner at 6:00pm can be arranged for children.
Currency:
East Caribbean Dollar (EC$). The rate of exchange is approximately EC$2.65
to US$1.00. US$ are accepted.
Dress Code:
Cotton summer clothing recommended. During the day sports clothes, shorts,
etc. Jacket and tie not required, however, evening wear is smart casual
and shorts are not worn in the evenings.
Electricity:
110 volt 60 cycle (as in North America)
Location:
Nevis, in the former British Leeward Islands of the Northern Caribbean,
is 2 miles from St. Kitts and is dominated by a central mountain rising
to 3,232 feet above sea level. From the peak, lush slopes fall to coral
sand beaches. 60 miles west of Antigua, 70 miles south of St. Maarten.
How to Get Here:
St Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua or St. Croix are convenient transit points.
We can arrange an air charter to meet flights at these airports. American/American
Eagle via San Juan/St. Kitts has several daily flights serving most cities
in the USA. British Airways, Virgin, BWIA, American, Air Canada, Continental
and Lufthansa fly directly to Antigua. US Airways & Continental serve
nearby St. Maarten.
US Airways has direct service from Philadelphia to St. Kitts every Saturday.
The service offers connections from Albany, Hartford, Boston, Baltimore,
Burlington, Buffalo, Washington DC, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Montreal
and Toronto.
Immigration
Bring valid passports to facilitate entry and return home. There is a
Departure Tax of EC$44.00 or US$16.50.
Drivers License:
A local Drivers License is required for all vehicle rentals. You must
produce a valid Drivers License from home and pay a fee of EC$50.00 or
US$20.00 (valid for 3 months).
Family Owned and Operated:
The Lupinacci family (originally from the USA) have been residents for
over 30 years and have made The Hermitage their home for most of that
time. They are keen and willing to share their lives and experiences in
this most special place.
