It located is 2 miles from St. Kitts and is dominated by a central mountain rising to 3,232 feet above sea level. From the cloud-covered peak, lush slopes fall to coral sand beaches below. Nevis is 60 miles west of Antigua, 70 miles south of St. Maarten. The island has a population of about 8,000 people and is approximately 6 miles by 8 miles.

Weather

The average year-round temperature is 79°, and a constant northeast trade wind keeps the island cool, making air-conditioning unnecessary.

At an elevation of 800 feet above sea level, the temperature at The Hermitage rarely moves below 75 degrees or above 85 degrees Fahrenheit, year round, day or night. It is this astonishing microclimate that makes The Hermitage location so special.
