Staying at The Hermitage offers a unique Caribbean experience. Our rooms are scattered through the garden like a miniature village tucked away in time. This is a perfect escape. The great house of The Hermitage offers serene hospitality and peacefulness. Cool drinks are enjoyed in the library; conversation ensues in the sitting room, and meals are served on the dining verandah. The layout and architecture of our rooms offer relaxing charm, while the fruit and palm trees make you realize that you are in a very special garden.

The Hermitage offers serenity away from the world of mass media saturation and "global branding". We offer a place where you can escape, whether it is in sunning by the side of the pool, sitting in the shade of the trees, walking through the forest trails or laying in the hammock on the porch of your own little gingerbread cottage.

Sun Terrace and Poolside rooms

Our sun terrace and poolside category offer single or double occupancy with a four poster canopy bed, private porch and a comfortable hammock. These bright rooms are decorated for romance and serenity, with flowers, botanical prints and even a few pictures painted by past guests; no radios, no televisions, just you and whoever you bring, whether it is a partner, a book or a paint set.

The Luxury Gingerbread Cottages

Our Luxury Cottages offer larger accommodations; with a master bedroom and bath, a separate sitting room, private porch and a kitchenette. Some of these cottages are perfect for a couple but others can accommodate families with additional sleeping on the day beds in the sitting room. Like our other rooms, they are uniquely decorated with period antiques and four poster canopy beds.

Nightly Rates: Winter $555, Spring $320, Summer $295, Fall $365

Room amenities include: ceiling fans, safes, hairdryers, iron and board, tea kettles, coffee makers, refrigerators and bottled water. Wireless internet is available in all rooms and most public areas complimentary.

Private Villas

The Yellow Manor House

The Yellow Manor House is a modern replica of a traditional Great House. It is a two storied building with three bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room and dining room. Enormous verandahs surround both levels and offer views of the beautiful Caribbean Sea beyond the countryside stretching to the horizon. The Manor House has its own private swimming pool and gardens. It is most suitable for parties of four or families of six.

Rose Villa and Mango House, price on request

Located a short walk away from Hermitage, these newly built Caribbean styled villas sit on spacious tropical gardens with spectacular views of both the mountain and the sea. Each villa has its own private swimming pool.

These villas have 4 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and spacious living areas and verandahs both upstairs and down. With fully equipped large and modern kitchen, these villas can easily host two families.
